Professional Background/Philosophy:
I have been a pastor for over ten years, and now serve as Pastor and Wedding Minister of Community Church, Corona del Mar in Orange County. I normally meet with a couple for at least two sessions before the wedding, so that we have the chance to get to know each other. Also, this allows me to get a good sense of what's important to them so that I can conduct the service to reflect "who they are." These two meetings are included in my modest fee. Should you desire, I offer, but do not require, more extensive pre-marital counseling, such as the PREPARE/ENRICH courses.
I offer each couple choices in the wedding service wording itself - more traditional wording, more contemporary; longer, more brief; etc.- so that they will enjoy the ceremony of their own choosing. I am happy to co-participate with clergy of different faith traditions, and I speak Spanish.

What makes Reverend Fisher distinctive?
It is a great privilege each time a couple asks me to perform their wedding. I consider it a very high compliment when the bride tells me, "Thank you. This was beautiful, and it was exactly what we were hoping for." The couples I marry are invariably delighted with the sincerity, warmth, humor, and general tone of their service.
I offer couples the choice of any Bible reading or readings they might prefer, in addition to the possibility of poetry or other selections. I reflect briefly on a theme the couple is welcome to choose for example, love, teamwork, commitment, "what God has to do with it," etc.
The blessings and presence of God in a marriage are very important to me, whether the ceremony might be held on the beach, at a hotel, in a church sanctuary, or in other settings. It is my joy to reflect the blessings of God, always with respect, during the wedding.
